The above link to Podcast No. 32 is one that all true investors should make the time to listen too as the guest Mikhail Asavikin from ANT 61 makes some very big claims regarding AKIDA neuromorphic technology. A few of these claims from memory as I only had it on in the background while moving some furniture around were:
1. GPUs will be replaced by neuromorphic compute;
2. Traditional compute has not permitted the type of advances in robotics in space now made possible because of the power draw, the heat created and the additional power draw involved in dealing with the heat;
3. AKIDA uses less power by a factor of ten removing the heat problem and reserving energy to operate for example robotic arms; (NB: This is the same argument put forward by Mercedes Benz when discussing the EQXX stating that the deployment of neuromorphic compute at scale will minimise the energy draw and reserve more power to the driving wheels and increase range. FF)
4. The major hurdle for space exploration and going to the Moon and Mars has been latency and the fact that all communications are subject to the speed of light. This latency means that robots need to have the ability to act autonomously and be able to train or learn in space as it is impossible to train them in advance for every situation that they will encounter in space, on the Moon or Mars;
5. AKIDA is making their service robot possible because it has the ability to learn on chip/device and become more efficient and in so doing has made robotics in space affordable, practical and commercial by overcoming the latency created by communications which are limited to the speed of light and by processing these learnings into meta data it can send that meta data back to Earth within available bandwidth where it can be shared across other robots.
It is definitely an interview that investors should find time to listen to and consider.
