Without a direct competitor/s I think it would be highly unlikely that it would pass the takeover/merger antitrust laws, on the other hand when the others catch up that is going to be a different story.
Antitrust laws protect the 'functioning of markets and, ultimately, consumers'; restricting monopolies and thus prices.
According to many reports; Antitrust laws are being adopted or amended in most countries around the world, with greater enforcement of antitrust rules.
