Scripted answers are of no use to unscripted questions unless these scripted answers are blindly accepted.

Also, non direct or rambling answers must not be accepted and the question must be put forward again.....and again....and again if necessary, and always with calm & composure.

The AGM is the one time that shareholders are able to control the narrative. The sad fact is this mostly does not happen because shareholders just sheepishly accept when the board deems a question answered or the board decides to move on from a particular question.

It is very important for shareholders to doggedly persue the board for direct answers to questions & not be diverted or moved on until satisfactory answers are provided. If a shareholder becomes belligerent or disrespectful this then gives the board license to move on. Do not fall into this trap.

This does not mean the board have to tolerate or provide answers to ridiculous questions. Nor do shareholders have to tolerate ridiculous, long-winded or evasive answers. Reciprocal professional & respectful behaviour will yield the best outcome for all.
