I am all for Brainchip getting onboard the university AI train and helping the next generation of AI engineers / research students, however there MUST be a balance as we are not a charity.
With no disrespect, I disagree and believe they need to charge some fee. You used the Microsoft, Intel, Motorola example - they are cashed up behemoths who can afford to provide free training and technology. We are still a start up and a business enterprise that must generate profit and returns to shareholders.
I specifically mentioned UNIVERSITIES should pay something for the privilege, NOT the students. Universities have funding and are very cashed up so it makes sense they pay for it.
