Yes being an option means that a customer can compare things like power use, performance and price.
The Quantum Ventura comparison in the SBIR to create a handheld contraband detector for the US Department of Homeland Security where it compared a Nvidia GPU necessary to power the detector at $US30,000.00 with an AKIDA USB at an estimated price of $US50.00 stands out.
A customer faced with only the one option of a $US30,000.00 Nvidia GPU is highly unlikely to consider if they shopped around they could get something else for $US50.00 that would do the job just as well or actually better when you take energy use and passive cooling into account.
Being commercially available immediately probably is a selling point unless you are happy to wait 3 to 5 years for an Intel COTS version.
Unigen shortly bringing an AKIDA Edge Server to market might also come into consideration.
