It is apparent that the quality of research some engage in before expressing opinions is less than satisfactory. Fifteen seconds of research brought up the following about TATA Elxsi and how it as part of the TATA Group of companies numbering around 100 contracts to the other TATA Group companies providing specialised engineering support across a range of areas one of which it nominates on its website to be Artificial Intelligence.
A more in-depth approach which I undertook when TATA Consulting Services was first revealed led to the understanding that the parent company which is family owned chose to grow through spinning off of individual companies that are all joined at the hip and loyal to the Group but kept to manageable sizes where the Chair and CEO of each are accountable for their company and it’s performance. They are encouraged to use other companies within the Group but only if they are the best choice. The idea being to prevent TATA becoming a giant unaccountable organisation riddled with inefficiency.
Anyway I will let TATA Automotive which owns Jaguar make the point:
