Plausible deniability is how this works. NDA outside of Australia particular assist in this. No multi national company will allow the rules of the ASX to give strategic information to competitors.
Everything can be in place with certain contractual documents signed many months prior, however the final sign off documents that will officially trigger certain disclosure requirements is how the contracts will be designed. No laws are broken.
Commercial lawyers for these multi nationals are all over this stuff.
