Blackberry had significant success until IOS and Android OS started appearing en masse in mobile phones. It lost significant market position, and started using Android OS from 2015. Company valuation is far below its peak, with no guarantee it will survive the mobile wars.
Segway: the company was allegedly bought out for US$80m
Segways are no longer made today.
Yahoo: from a peak valuation of US$125B in 2008, to being bought out for $4.6B - hardly a story of success. There are a myriad of execution failures associated with Yahoo (good reading!).
Kodak: declared bankruptcy in 2012.
The company was subsequently resurrected in a smaller form, concentrating on chemical niches (has recently suffered significant regulatory issues, yet to be resolved).

So what does the future hold for BRN? Nobody can know with any certainty.
But to think a company can only achieve success - when history clearly shows us that business success is far less common than failure - would be a fool's errand.
