Considering IR gives virtually nothing on exits, personally wouldnt bother asking.
With Phd & MSc in Neuromorphic Eng & BEng & involved in at least 8 research publications that type of brain power doesnt grow on trees so imo its dissapointing we havent retained him.
Exiting anyone heavily involved in the Co reasearch & IP is imo a risk but have to assume Co employment contracts are heavy on confidentiality and IP security and non compete. But you dont want any knowledge or insight into Co weaknesses , holes or plans or strategies exiting and being potentially targettable by competitors. IMO DYOR
