I like this extract from the White Paper:

“Predictive Tracking of Objects:• TENNs are designed to handle sequential data, making them particularly effective for tracking objects over time. They can learn temporal depen- dencies within point cloud data, enabling the network to predict the future positions of objects based on their movement patterns. This capability is similar to how Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks have been used in speech and video processing.

.• Expected Improvements: In the context of radar and LiDAR systems, TENNs has the potential to improve tracking accuracy over non-temporal models, as they reduce the impact of noise and missing data by relying on learned temporal patterns. This enhanced accuracy is c’ritical for applications like autonomous driving, where precise object tracking is necessary to avoid collisions.”
