Index funds will be forced to sell, though that doesn't always result in significant SP movement.
Short positions would very likely decrease, as index funds recall any borrowed shares. The total number of shares available to shorts in future would be reduced also.
It's touch and go whether BRN will be removed from the 300, but I'm leaning more towards removal (based on MC alone).
