There is no chance of AKIDA 1000 being taken on for mass use in 2019 or even 2020 or 21 or 22. It was in chip form to enable the market to get its head around it. Even Mercedes who was an early adopter are probably still a little time away.
Renesas first signed an agreement with BRN in Dec 2020. It took then 2 years before they announced they were taping it out (Dec'22).
Its subject to NDA's but no doubt Renesas spent those 2 years talking to potential clients and testing etc. They taped it out for a reason, ie for a client/s.
There is no chance that Renesas taped it out unless they were going to make some money out of it.
The process gives us an idea of how long it takes to get a new tech out there, especially AI at the Edge.
As the market gets used to Neuromorphic AI at the Edge via AKIDA timeframes will come in.
I do not think people realise how big AKIDA's potential is and how big a change to the Edge is for business. Even Sean admits he underestimated the time it was going to take for AKIDA adoption..
IMO AKIDA will take off at a furious pace once the inevitable deal or 2 come in.
Despite the above IMO BRN day 1 really starts from when Gen2 plus TENNNs was released.
