We are also event based processing ( which can give significant computational improvement) and leverage near memory compute ( eliminating off chip memory movement is the key to low power) . The cleaverness comes from hw/sw codesign. We designed the hardware to specifically run tenns, and denoising is a network that we designed specifically to run on our ip. So it is the synergy between hw and sw that gives us the ultra low power performance

Coincidentally it also answers the question which @Manny has been debating. The success of AKIDA technology as the CEO Sean Hehir states is dependent upon an ecosystem. Part of the ecosystem is having software that is specifically designed to take full advantage of AKIDA technology.

Sean Hehir stated that when he arrived companies were trialling AKIDA trying to work out how they could use it. By developing the TENNS software Brainchip is showing the market exactly that with applications like denoising.
