I agree. Something is missing. (but I still think there is a shrinking chance of success)
These things seem missing
. commitment by proposers in terms of adequate dollars to research to bring a product to market
. licensing agreements (why wouldn't an OEM grab a cheap license now while we're desperate?)
. direct contact with manufacturers ( we're only ever dealing with consultancy companies, and we seem too timid to ask for direct contact)
. better transparency when things don't go to plan (No ann. re Ant61, or Renesas failing to tape-out)
I still think there is a shrinking chance of success, but as time passes our chances decline.
