Not sure how this got passed me but rain.ai has a fair amount of funding for IP in relation to neuromorphic computing as well. This solidifies BRN's business model, considering that a company like Rain(which has substantial backing by Altman) is also utilising the same strategy.
And as of a couple of months ago they have a new engineering lead from an Apple veteran: https://rain.ai/blog/apple-silicon-exec-joins-rain-ai-leadership-team.
BRN could very well have been ahead of the curve by a bit too much based on whether they can hold on long enough to capture a good amount of marketshare via popularisation of the neuromorphic computing industry
