Interesting visualization of the global launch attempts from 2023. But what about the #Launch Industry? Where are we heading?

As of March 2024, there are almost 6,000 #satellites serving #communications, (5,800+ #starlink, ~90%) with the number of launches having grown by about 20% a year since 2017. And the rest of 2024 also going to be a busy year for all #space fairing nations.

Global orbital #launches hit a new record high last year, with 223 launches in 2023, surpassing the previous year by almost 20%. This trend is expected to continue with new launch vehicles becoming operational and others scaling up their cadence.

SpaceX dominates the market with more than 80% of launches by US companies. Let's keep an eye on the space industry as it continues to push the boundaries of human exploration and innovation.
