gcar is advising others about keeping their cool!
    Literally LOL

So, to take a serious look at this, generally, people who aren't controlling their emotions take profit to early and miss out on gains, and hold on to losers, increasing their losses.
The best thing to do is understand why you're holding and take a calm, rational approach to analysis and determining what is most likely ahead for your holdings.

AGY clearly has nothing on the horizon. It literally can't make their technology work. They literally had to shut down two operations, both of which failed to work. To get moving again they need a CR, they're just not going to be able to flick the switch back on, reemploy all those staff, get operations going again, etc etc, without external capital. We all know that. We also know that a CR is not going to come cheaply. They pulled off an amazing stunt by fleecing ATL at a premium, but both because they company is now transparently in shambles, and because the ATL deal will make anyone else very wary now, the next CR is going to be very expensive (which will burn shareholders).

And once that happens, what's next? Try to continue working on the plant they couldn't get working even when they were trying? The one they said isn't really economically viable even if it worked? And if prices improved it would still be marginal?

Or are they going to get working on the 10,000TPA plant? That would require a far larger CR than the company is likely even capable of, and if they did manage it, shareholder value gets obliterated. We all know this is true. And even if they do manage that, and even if you ignore the inevitable destruction of shareholder value, you're then looking at several years of construction and commissioning, and we all know how that goes, especially for AGY.

So, indeed, this is not the time to be emotional, this is a time to rationally evaluate the situation. Losers tend to continue losing, and AGY shows no sign, technical or fundamental, of the downward trend ending, and there's no realistic chance of that changing for *years*, and there's nasty events required to change that, so why hold now?
