I think given time the sp will rise substantially. Why? Well it seems Aussies are obsessed with good ol' hard rock spod. They get it, It's in WA and you dig an almighty big hole, extract it, crush it and partly process it selling it basically as a raw material, ie PLS or CXO etc 6% concentrate. The good ol' Aussie way right. But now at least for spod it's hardly worth doing given the low lithium price. It saw CXO close the mine & they'll probably go bust soon.
So why would anyone get excited about AGY? Well Aussies, listen up. It's producing low cost pure battery grade lithium carbonate from evaporated salt ponds at high altitude. The Americans might get a bit more excited about it. We're basically a smaller version of Livent (Arcadium Lithium). Given successful production there will be a rerate.
