such a confounded trial with ventilation practices medication, and enrollment ages changing midway. .
werent we were passing futility before dex became standard. maybe dex is what negates ventilator injury. maybe early mechanical ventilation worsens outcomes unless it results in early msc intervention which improves outcomes, but only if its early in the trial before patients became more elderly and received mechanical ventilation later in the disease process with dex, but just not with sufficient msc?
