No doubt they have insurance, but will it cover the entire amount of any potential payout? I would have thought that MSB should release this information in order that its shareholders are kept fully informed of any possible impact on their investment. Estia had to cough up over $12 million of company funds to settle their class action, as per the Motley Fool article extract below:In February 2021, Estia advised the market it had reached an agreement to settle the class action, conditional on whether the settlement would receive Federal Court approval.
Today, Estia said that the cost of the settlement is $38.5 million, of which it has contributed $12.35 million. The remaining balance is to be paid by Estia's insurers.
