It's often been said that if you know that the SP is heading south, SELL. Buy back later when the SP is heading north.
Sounds good.
The problem, how do you buy back when you have much lower volume on the up trend than you do on the down trend.
Sometimes even if you know the SP will go south it is better to hold because you will not be able to buy back what you sold due to low volume.
