I remember the company trying to hire people to establish some “knowledge centres” (can’t remember what exactly they were called in the ad quoted here) in the US just before the last PDUFA date in August last year, betting on an approval that didn’t eventuate. The requirements for the ad were quite onerous in terms of skill set and knowledge.

It was probably part of a marketing strategy aimed of course, initially at least, at opening up the market. The article I quoted in my preceding post, which @Stellowe provided an excerpt from, also talks about drug manufacturers’ marketing strategies in advancing off label use of approved drugs. I don’t have time to look into it, but it seems that the company did give these things, at the very least in the initial marketing of Ryoncil, some good thought and workout last year.

Would be interesting to see how the current largest shareholder could perhaps come up with some ideas about a service based model around physician use (as opposed to a product based model by drug company partners, with the latter model yet to materialise at this point in time).
