Canaccord Genuity’s desk launched a $60 million block trade in Sayona Mining after market close on Wednesday, seeking buyers about 11.2 per cent of the company.

Fund manager sources said the seller was Piedmont Lithium, a miner listed on both the ASX and the NASDAQ. The trade was priced at 5.2¢ a share or an 18.8 per cent discount to Sayona’s last close. Bids were due 5:30pm.
