It may well be that EM have become the bus driver. That also may be a good thing although there would be legitimate concerns that they may swallow AKP.
However, the inescapable truth is that AKP have not, as yet, delivered, and have incessantly missed their own deadlines. From the little I can ascertain, EM seem well resourced and managed and I would think their involvement can only be beneficial to AKP.
