I can't be 1000% sure as I don't have their shipping contract to go through however I do sometimes deal with these types of concerns in my real world job. And I can honestly say that in my time I've never seen a company charged demmurage for a ship that's been dirvirted to another destination by the shipping master prior to arriving at the original designated port. Going off Marine tracker the ship notified the port master of the destination change on the 13th of June well before it was in Australian waters.
