I don't expect the barge count will be a highly accurate tonnage count, and using 6,000t/barge is optimistic; it's good you remind us of that,

But I think that, nevertheless, the barge count does give a pretty good indication of the general trend of things.

Their comment that there is latent capacity, including in the "tug/barge cycle", suggests the barge constraints may not be as bad as we might imagine. Plus, the low capex barge loading facility debottlenecking study and the suggestion that will involve increasing barge size up to 10,000t/barge would also provide greater flexibility around tides, I'd expect, when they get to that.
