There has been 2 years delay in the launch of the E ectric G Wagon, WHY ? , Sila's silicon anode only offers 20% more energy retention in the new electric G wagon ? in 2019 they promised 20 to 40% improvement ? what happened to the other 20% improvement ? I would expect MB are looking for a lot more energy retention and also the the ability to tow ? tow a van and you get less than 100 k range , its a fair bet MB will Testing Anteo's silicone anode , the way EV 1 is moving they look like they are on to it big time , the Anteo extra performance and in particular Silicon Anode cost and performance gains is a must have for the success of the G Wagon, its that simple in my opinion.

The company said graphite anodes and simple silicon compounds (Si, SiO, SiO2) for Li-ion batteries have peaked out, and Titan Silicon is the solution to boost EV performance now. It claims the new silicon anode can improve the range of EVs by 20% –potentially an increment of 100 miles for some models, reduce the 10-80% charging time from currently as long as 60 minutes to just 20 minutes, reduce the battery weight by 15%, and offer a 20% space savings.
