Looks like a few grants have been awarded in the last few weeks from the Queensland Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund (this is not the Queensland Battery Industry Strategy funding). The funding for Redflow looking interesting.
But it looks like this fund is now distributing

Flow battery manufacturer Redflow announced that it has been awarded funding from the Queensland Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund (QCMBTF) for the development and construction of a large-scale zinc-bromine flow battery prototype.

The Brisbane-headquartered company said the $1.12 million (USD 730,000) will also support a feasibility study for the establishment of a large-scale zinc-bromine flow battery manufacturing facility in Queensland.

Redflow Chief Executive and Managing Director Tim Harris said the company – which has developed along-duration zinc-bromine flow battery energy storage system designed for commercial and utility-scale energy storage applications – has been working towards scaling its manufacturing capabilities in response to accelerating demand for its technology in Australia and key global markets such as the United States.

In response to surging interest for water from the emerging critical minerals sector and agriculture proposals, a new Gulf Regional Water Assessment (RWA) ......

The Gulf RWA process will bring together water users, communities, experts, First Nations groups and other key stakeholders to consider how to strengthen water security and drive economic growth through investment in water infrastructure and initiatives. Once complete, the RWA will set out how existing infrastructure, new infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions can be used to maximise water supply in the Gulf and drive enhanced outcomes.

The Department will lead the $4 million Gulf RWA, with $2 million funding support from the Department of Resources’ office of Critical Minerals Queensland, in recognition of water’s importance for Queensland Critical Minerals Strategy activity in this area.

Revolver Resources has been awarded the very first grant from the Queensland Government’s Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund to fast-track key technical and design workstreams on its Dianne copper project.

Revolver Resources will receive $1.3 million
