I live in Thailand. I had a wonderful Thai wife who sadly passed away last November. And yes I was just watching that very situation and it dawned on me, instead of seeing the girls, I saw captainblood, Tran, Roche, daveyboy, Michael haley etc and the unwary 'investor' and I laughed. Because it's such an accurate analogy!
These, whether it be bar girls or hc spruikers aren't there for your benefit, they're in it for themselves and the more they wring out of you, the better for them. Neither group is altruistic. But I'd trust the bar girls more, they're not that good at being devious.
