For all we know NVIDIA is in the process of developing an NPU based cloud server system using Akida. Might have been the reason "Rudy" left BRN to work for NVIDIA.
We wouldn't know because that's exactly the type of collaboration that both sides would keep deeply secret.
I don't know enough about the Akida technology to know if that is even feasible (applying Akida to massive AI workloads that require large server farm infrastructure). However, if it was feasible (or even worth investigating) one would imagine that NVIDIA would be pursuing it. Developing a pure grunt suite of AI servers that consume a fraction of the power currently needed would be a massive game changer and provide an unassailable lead over upcoming competitors.
However, it would also require massive R&D. It's not just the building of rack server hardware. The entire ecosystem of software and peripheral systems might need to be optimized or developed from scratch.
Some of our more negative commentators (who enjoy the sport of writing thinly veiled disparaging criticisms, bating, and flaming) might gleefully seize on such a speculation as worthless and pointless.
However, in this persistent information vacuum....it's all we've got.
