If Brainchip is to be supported by Australian shareholders in its desire to redomicile they need to convince us that they have the capacity to paint a compelling professional image on the global stage by delivering a complete investment package.
A new website and a lone employee sitting in a home office somewhere in Western Australia asking the ASX if the company is doing a good job is obviously not going to cultivate the required image.
On paper both the new IR and PR appointments have the potential to paint a compelling professional image.
We have on the table two analyst reports opining a share value of $1.20 and $1.59 respectively.
If these two new appointments can simply achieve a $1.00 plus share price over the next few months by actually communicating Brainchip’s value proposition to the market and customers then the saving in dilution when LDA Capital calls are made will more than offset what these appointments cost.
If at the same time the CEO Sean Hehir and his team can deliver on the budgeted bookings then the Board just might gain enough credibility to at least be listened to when and if they present their case to Australian retail shareholders for leaving the ASX.
Time will tell if they were up to the task.
