And a good example was how Microsoft famously beat competitors with an OK (but not the best) operating system, and with its basic Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access) offering which left a lot to be desired. Lotus 123 was far better than the early Excel, Word Perfect better than Word etc.
