Weebit Nano can secure national media coverage for their technology — and yet Brainchip, with its supposedly revolutionary, paradigm-shifting neuromorphic platform, remains largely invisible to the broader investing public. Why is that?

It isn’t because Akida lacks technical merit. On the contrary, we’re told repeatedly — by management themselves — that we are engaged with the who's who of the AI, automotive, defence and cybersecurity worlds. We’re assured that the technology is “world-leading”, that one deal could transform the company’s fortunes overnight. And yet — silence. No media narrative. No mainstream profile. No visibility. Only obscure podcasts, half-hearted LinkedIn posts, and occasional interviews that reach a tiny, self-selected audience.

We’re now in the early stages of yet another investor relations and public relations ‘reset’. But this is precisely where a competent, proactive IR and PR team should be earning their keep. If Weebit — a company operating in a highly specialised semiconductor niche — can manage to put their story on the national stage, why can’t Brainchip? Why can’t Akida’s unique capabilities be showcased to institutional investors, fund managers, technology journalists and mainstream financial press? Why can’t someone inside this company finally grasp that perception matters, and that investors cannot invest with confidence in what they cannot see?

Brainchip is still operating as if it’s a private R&D lab reluctantly masquerading as a public company. That is no longer sustainable. Public companies thrive when they build a coherent, visible, and widely understood narrative around their technology, their market, and their vision.

The excuse that “we're working on it” or “it takes time” has long worn thin. Shareholders are not being impatient; they are reacting to a complete absence of meaningful public positioning.

If this board believes Akida’s opportunity is as large as they repeatedly claim, then it is their duty to ensure the world actually hears about it. This is not an academic exercise in patience; it is a basic function of public market leadership.

The question remains: when will Brainchip finally step up to the public stage it claims it deserves?
