Helsing = full-stack defense traditional AI company.
Akida = brain-inspired chip for edge AI, with potential defense applications but not defense-exclusive.
That said, as neuromorphic chips mature and prove useful in defense scenarios, its likely that companies like Helsing will explore it.
Raytheon (a division of RTX, the company) has been exploring neuromorphic tech for military applications, including radar signal processing using BrainChip’s Akida chip. See US AFRL
Lockheed -Martin involved with BRN and QV for cybersecurity using AKIDA.
Bascom Hunter is using AKIDA via the Navy transition has SBIR projects ongoing.
AKIDA is not an additive on or bolt on like Weebit products - AKIDA is a new and much better way of doing things.
