I have just looked at the final figures cast at the meeting last week and | observe that the Chairman was holding approx 205 mil proxy votes (it varies depending which resolution you look at)
However one thing is indisputable, if you take out the proxies held by and voted by the chairman and simply ignore them
And look at how the shareholders actually voted the results are very different, markedly so !!
To the point that there was very CLEAR message sent last week especially to Mr Askin, Dunmore and Whittle.
I set out below the final results ( excluding any proxies cast) I have rounded the figures off to the nearest Mil so as to make it easier to read.
Starting with Mr Askin the following would have been the result had the Chair not cast the proxies to save themselves.
Askin
For the removal 311 mil against 150 mil (Gone)
Dunmore
For the removal 312 mil against 148 mil (Gone)
Whittle
For the removal 380 mil against 38 mil (Gone)
Feb placement
For the placement 252 Mil against 134 mil (approved)
Feb placement
For the placement 252 Mil against 134 mil (approved)
April placement
For the placement 175 Mil against 148 mil (approved but close)
April oppies placement (DDT 127 mil proxy)
For the placement 248 Mil against 192 mil (approved)
Cottee / Heugh resolution
Cottee 254 Mil JH 163 mil
NOTE The amount of shares voted in favor of JH was greater than those for Askin and Dunmore, Whittle.
That sends a very clear message to the management ,
The shareholders prefer to keep JH over Askin and Dunmore, Whittle.
Mr Cottee please start talking to JH and bring him back !!!!!!!!!
In my opinion that gives JH a very clear message that he is MORE Popular and wanted by the shareholders.
Mssrs Askin and Dunmore, Whittle. PLEASE NOTE , YOU ARE NOT WANTED.
Please GO , and do it soon !!!!!!!!!!!!
