FLLYR: TTK: TeamTalk - 2013 A Year of Transition
TeamTalk's 2013 result: Revenue up 40% to $46.2 million but Net Profit after
Tax down 33% to $3.6 million. Ouch.
In spite of a lousy bottom line result TeamTalk's Managing Director David
Ware is happy with the company's overall performance. "We ended the year
owning an important new asset in Farmside and we have an impressive new
management team on board. Our core businesses of mobile radio and broadband
performed pretty much as expected but our bottom line was knocked around by
one off costs associated with the Farmside purchase and the Government's new
telco tax - the so called Telecommunications Development Levy" says Ware.
"Looking forward to 2014 we're expecting a year of two halves. With a new
management team to bed in and our Farmside acquisition to digest we're
expecting a business as usual first half but in the second half we should be
dangerous."
