EASTERN Star Gas is expecting to give details of a $20 million capital raising today.
Its shares have more than trebled in value since October, rising from a two-year low as a string of CSG takeovers and a resource upgrade spurred buying of the stock.
Shares are at their highest since July last year, when oil prices were beginning their steep slide from heights near $US150 a barrel. The stock was at 74c before being placed in a trading halt.
The raising will be used to keep the company running and fund $20 exploration costs next year at its Narrabri project.
