The KN discovery was made on 17th March 2008 so in another 3 months it will be a full two years since discovery.

This is a long wait for the field size estimate.

Is this delay unprecedented on the ASX or can other examples of two year delays be pointed out?

Some companies with a strike on a conventional gas targets can release a figure within a few weeks or months, eg MEL.

I hope KEY isn't going to be another company to punish me as a long term holder by doing a discounted dilutive placement to sophs before (or co-ordinated with) a good news release 'in case the SP falls afterward' just as OVR have done as a reward for my long term support.
