OFFICE: GFF: Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
Goodman Fielder today announced the appointment of Patrick Gibson as the
company's new Chief Financial Officer.
Mr Gibson joins Goodman Fielder from Brambles Ltd where he was the Group
Financial Controller since 2008.
Prior to his role at Brambles, Patrick held a number of senior finance roles
in the FMCG industry in a career spanning nearly 20 years with Unilever
across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Goodman Fielder's Managing Director and CEO, Chris Delaney, said, "I am
delighted to welcome Patrick to our senior executive team. Patrick brings
extensive listed company experience in Australia combined with relevant FMCG
industry expertise.
"His direct experience in corporate finance and capital markets, together
with his record in driving operational and financial improvement in the FMCG
sector at Unilever, ensure that he is a very strong fit for the CFO role at
Goodman Fielder."
Mr Gibson will commence his position in the early months of 2014.
In the meantime, the company is pleased to advise that its Chief Strategy &
Corporate Development Officer, Neil Kearney, will act in the CFO role until
Mr Gibson commences his position.
Neil has extensive financial and industry experience, having previously been
the CEO of Warranambool Cheese and Butter and CFO of National Foods.
