The good news as I see it is Peru has a very clear process and timeline for assessment of EIA's. It includes community engagement. So I assume as part of the EIA process the one remaining community would have to be involved and make a decision within the process timeframe or as LCR announcement puts it "contemporaneously within the statutory approval timeframe".
The timeline is dependent on the category of the EIA - I would expect it is either a category II or most likely III.
It appears a category III assessment can take up to 110 days. (not allowing for extensions).
So at least it appears LCR have now begun the EIA process which will force the one remaining community to make a decision within the next 3.5 months. At least an outcome will be known, so I do not mind waiting.
