These mounting senseless deaths both sickens me and makes me angry. Personally I think it's about time that the United Nations should begin laying sanctions against Indonesia.
Only when there is more money to lose than to gain will the balance of corruption there swing to the side of stopping the flow both in and out of their country. For every boat that leaves how many have they stopped?
Too many "officials" at various stages must be conveniently turning the other way for monetary gain in this "dealing with death" ongoing tragedy.
Australia makes too many excuses for the Indonesians and I think it's time to toughen up. After all - when it suits them the Indonesian constabulary are very efficient when it comes to getting Australians arrested when found with a few grams of marijuana.
