I do not understand any of the negativity towards this announcment.
How many small companies are raising funds at a premium at the moment?
This investor would have had high level access to the companies forward strategies and business plans, and having seen all of that decided that they would eventually like to take a19.9% share of the company, bringing a strategic investor on board is going to give the company enhanced credibility going forward, and remember this is the second transaction with a larger investment player, although i think part of the weakness in the sp could be due to them being able to pick up very cheap shares in payment of the interest component, the company could now fix this issue by using some of the funds raised to pay cash interest instead of issuing underpriced shares.
It will be interesting to see how the analysts view the company going forward.
