I expect that any taxpayer contribution to funding of rail lines is around the issue of OTHER users having access to the rail.
You say farmers can not access certain water in Qld - well I think I am on record opposing excessive Green Tape so please do not blame me for that.
If ADANI can use the water maybe that recognizes that the Qld Govt and the economy in general gets a lot more out of a miner using some water than farmers who lately seem to be wanting drought assistance or to be rescued from floods.
I do not think coal sucks on any public teat - in fact coal faces constant Govt funded Green lawfare and opposition at many levels.
