I'm really intrigued... how does a building have an annual electricity usage in GW...

It doesn't make any sense as a watt = joule/second. You cannot have joule/second/year, your time terms would be off.

I really would of hoped a company selling electricity would know that you would sell in GWh.. or kWh.. or any watt-hour unit timeframe which would cancel out the time frame in the initial unit and leave it as an energy value...

but that's just me being picky, announcements look good.
