    The other thing it does is gives us an indicator of whether anyone is accumulating to make a counter bid. If a lot of shares are being bought at a price above the fair value price as calculated above, it probably means someone is accumulating for a counter bid. If the SP stays below the fair value, it is probably just arbitragers.
