DIRECTOR: BNZ: Andrew Thorburn retires from BNZ Board
BNZ has announced Andrew Thorburn's retirement from the BNZ board of
directors, effective 16 May 2014.
BNZ board of directors chairman, John Waller says, "Both as CEO and a
director of BNZ, Andrew has successfully steered the bank through some very
challenging times since he was appointed in October 2008. It is testament to
his leadership that he leaves BNZ with a strong balance sheet, world class
levels of employee engagement and a culture of customer innovation.
"On behalf of the BNZ board I would like to thank Andrew for his strong
leadership, governance and friendship over the years. We're delighted he has
been recognised by the NAB board with his recent appointment to Group CEO.
"We look forward to working with Andrew in his new role, which further
strengthens our relationship with NAB," he says.
