STRATEGY FUNCTION UPDATE
Nuplex Industries today announced that the Vice President of Corporate
Development and Planning, Hasan Shafi is resigning, effective 30 June 2014.
Mr Shafi will be pursuing an opportunity with a global management consulting
firm.
Emery Severin, Nuplex's CEO said; "I would like to thank Hasan for his
contribution to Nuplex since joining in 2010."
"Over the past four years, Nuplex has made significant gains in terms of the
discipline and processes with which it approaches both strategic planning and
operational performance assessment. Hasan has played a key role in
progressing Nuplex along this journey and we wish him every success in the
future."
William Weaver, currently Vice President, Technology will be expanding his
role and take on the responsibility for Strategy. Having led Nuplex's global
R&D function since 2008, William brings his unique combination of technical
expertise, market knowledge and strategic thinking to the role of Vice
President, Technology & Strategy.
Over the past two years, strategy planners have been added to each of the
four regional management teams as part of developing Nuplex's strategic
planning capabilities. Following the departure of Mr Shafi, the Corporate
Planning responsibility will be undertaken by this global team.
