TeamTalk expands mobile radio business in deal with Kordia
TeamTalk Managing Director David Ware is delighted to announce an agreement
that will allow TeamTalk to grow its digital mobile radio business.
It has signed a partnership agreement with Kordia which will see TeamTalk
providing all services and day-to-day management for its KorKor digital
mobile radio network. Kordia will retain ownership of the network assets but
TeamTalk will be responsible for all aspects of sales and account management,
network operations and customer support.
KorKor's customers include public transport, security and trucking companies,
with coverage in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Canterbury.
"This is a logical arrangement for TeamTalk and Kordia. It leaves Kordia to
focus on its core business, and TeamTalk has a track record of providing
ultra-reliable radio services for hundreds of organisations, including
emergency services, nationwide. It's a win-win," says Mr Ware.
"TeamTalk has a history of great customer satisfaction. We provide a
locally-operated 24-hour helpline and we've been in this business since 1994.
We want to deliver even better service to our new customers in a highly
competitive market," Mr Ware says.
"We expect to be able to help KorKor customers get even more value out of
mobile radio, but in the short-term we don't expect they'll notice any change
in their day-to day service."
While offering plenty of longer term potential the transaction is not
expected to have a material impact on TeamTalk operating earnings in the
current period.
