SANFORD LIMITED ANNOUNCEMENT
Sanford Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Peter Kean as an
independent Director of the Company.
Mr Kean will take up his appointment on 1 December 2014 increasing the Board
size to seven for a brief period. Last year Chairman Jeff Todd announced he
would retire from the Board during 2014 and has now agreed with the Board
that his last day will be 31 December 2014 at which time the Board will
revert to six members. Mr Paul Norling, Deputy Chairman, will succeed Jeff
Todd as Chairman of the Company.
Peter Kean has recently retired from the Lion Group where he has held senior
executive roles, most recently as Managing Director of Lion Nathan New
Zealand and Managing Director of Lion Dairy and Drinks based in Melbourne,
Australia. Peter is a Board Member of the Lion Foundation and the New
Zealand Rugby Union.
Chairman Jeff Todd noted that this appointment was the culmination of an
extensive search process that has ultimately produced an excellent result for
the Company. The Board is delighted Peter has agreed to join the Board and
the Audit and Risk Committee.
