Nothing has changed with regards to posting Tables that I know of.
Tableizer has never worked on the new HC site, and coding has been restricted to reduce site vulnerabilities.
(And rightly so).
The new way to post Tables is simple, safe and provides for the average poster to post Tables.
However as you point out, there are some trade offs, (column header) but no deal breakers really.
When the new HC site launched, all the run of the mill Browsers, had the ability to simply copy from Excel (csv)
and paste straight into HC, with the exception being Chrome. Chrome didn't support BB code at that time, that has
now changed and has the same ability to paste into HC like the rest of the browsers.
The work around at that time was to use a Macro enabled excel document to convert csv's to BB code and paste into
HC as Paste as plain Text. Jako has posted the converter here 15929032 or I can upload it for you, with instructions.
The converter doesn't add the column 1, column 2, to the header row, but removes the comma's between numerals.
I still post Tables this way.
There may be a way around the header issue, as roaminoz gave this a fair workout when Valen was having troubles a while back...
Post #15928743 (read the thread above and below rz's post)
It turns out Valen's trouble was the new EDGE browser and/or windows 10
right click, copy/paste menu.
Some things to be aware of when posting Tables... If you ever have to edit a post that contains a Table,
the header row will be replaced by the column 1, column 2 etc, just click edit again and delete those words from the row.
Also watch out for Ampersands in edited posts, they will be changed to just edit them as well.
If you ever have a CSV that contains an Apostrophe you will need to use Find and Replace before using the converter,
if you don't... the converter will treat them as a space... and displace the Cell contents.
The little arrows in the header row when clicked...sorts the columns by that header definition.
If the rows go out of whack for any reason, just click F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page.
To put things simply... maybe put up with the header row as is, (easy way) or try the converter.
